By downloading or using WhoSaid, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Use it lawfully. Laws about recording or transcribing conversations differ by place; make sure the people you caption are aware where the law requires it, and respect their privacy.
What WhoSaid does
WhoSaid produces live captions in English or Spanish on your iPhone, labels the people speaking, lets you save, search, and share transcripts, and lets you type text to speak aloud or show in large letters. Features and compatibility may change as the app is updated.
Assistive tool, not a medical device
Captions and speaker labels are generated automatically and can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong, particularly with background noise, distance, accents, or overlapping speech. WhoSaid is not a medical device and is not a replacement for a sign language interpreter, professional captioning, or hearing care. Do not rely on it in an emergency or for decisions where an error could cause harm.
Your content
You keep the rights you have in what you say and in the transcripts you save. You are responsible for having the right to capture and share the conversations you use. We do not receive your transcripts through the app. If you share a copy with another app or person, their handling of that copy is outside WhoSaid.
WhoSaid Pro
Live captions, History, and Reply require WhoSaid Pro. The app offers weekly, monthly, and yearly subscriptions and a one-time Lifetime purchase. The paywall shows current prices, renewal terms, and any introductory trial you are eligible for before you buy.
Apple processes purchases. Subscriptions renew unless cancelled through your Apple Account before the end of the current period. If Pro ends, Pro features lock again and the transcripts you saved stay on your iPhone. Apple handles refund requests under its policies.
Availability and responsibility
Recognition quality, speaker labeling, and downloads vary with the environment, the device, and Apple service availability. WhoSaid is provided as available, subject to rights that cannot be excluded by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, except where consumer protection law gives you rights that cannot be limited or a right to bring a claim elsewhere.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms by posting a revised version and date here. For questions, email support@taxlite.net.
