Getting good captions
Place your iPhone in the middle of the table, close to everyone, with the microphone uncovered. Quiet rooms work best. Noise reduction can be turned on in Settings. If you pick the wrong language, stop and start again after choosing the right one.
Speaker labels can change or be wrong when people talk at the same time. Tap a label to name a speaker or mark one as you.
Spanish captions and downloads
English models come with the app. The first time you choose Spanish, WhoSaid downloads its model from the App Store; this needs an internet connection and the progress is shown in Settings, with a Retry button if it fails. After that, captions work offline.
Microphone access
If captions do not start, check Settings > WhoSaid > Microphone in iOS. WhoSaid also needs an iPhone 12 or later with iOS 18 or later.
Transcripts
Open History to browse, search, rename speakers in, delete, or share a saved conversation. Sharing creates a text file. If a conversation was not saved, check that Auto-save sessions is on in Settings.
Purchases and subscriptions
Open WhoSaid Settings and choose Restore Purchases if a purchase is missing, or Redeem Code to use an offer code. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Apple handles charges and refund requests. The paywall shows the current local price before purchase.
Privacy
Recognition and speaker labeling run on your iPhone and audio is not stored. Read the Privacy Policy for the full explanation.
