WhoSaid
Privacy Policy
Overview
WhoSaid shows live captions of the conversation around you, with a label for each speaker. This policy explains what happens to your audio, transcripts, purchases, and support messages.
WhoSaid does not require an account. It does not include advertising, tracking, or analytics SDKs, and the developer does not collect your conversations.
Microphone and speech recognition
WhoSaid asks for microphone access the first time you tap Start, and uses the microphone only while captions are running. You can change this permission at any time in iOS Settings.
Speech recognition and speaker labeling run on your iPhone. Audio is processed as it arrives and is not saved to a file or sent to a server. Captions can be wrong, and the app is not a medical device.
Transcripts and what is stored
The app stores the following on your iPhone:
- Caption text of conversations you keep (text only, no audio)
- Speaker names you enter
- Quick reply phrases you save
- Your preferences, such as caption size and language
Keeping and deleting transcripts
Turn Auto-save sessions off to choose whether to keep each conversation. You can delete any transcript in History. Deleting WhoSaid removes this data from the device; if you back up your iPhone, the backup may contain it under your own Apple settings.
Network use and Apple services
Caption language models are delivered by Apple. The English models come with the app. The Spanish model is downloaded from the App Store the first time you select Spanish, and the app itself does not contact any server of the developer.
Apple StoreKit shows product information, processes WhoSaid Pro purchases, and provides entitlement status to the app. Prices and billing terms are shown before purchase. The developer does not receive your payment card details.
Replies you type are spoken with the voices built into iOS, on the device.
Analytics, support, and this website
WhoSaid has no advertising SDK, tracking SDK, or in-app analytics. If you choose to share iPhone analytics with developers, Apple may provide aggregated diagnostics under your Apple settings.
If you email support@taxlite.net, we receive your message and any information you choose to include so we can reply. When you open these pages, the website host receives technical request information needed to serve them, such as your IP address and browser details. These pages do not contain analytics scripts or advertising pixels.
Your choices
You can rename or delete transcripts and phrases in the app, turn Auto-save off, withdraw microphone access in iOS Settings, and manage subscriptions through your Apple Account. For privacy questions, contact support@taxlite.net.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page and its date if WhoSaid's data practices change.
