How it works
Start with your own measurements and review the assumptions before acting.
- Enter. Measure the area manually or scan a room on compatible hardware.
- Adjust. Set tile size, pattern, waste, deductions, box coverage, and prices.
- Plan. Review room and project totals before ordering.
Before you build: Scan dimensions and tile takeoffs are estimates. Verify the actual substrate, cuts, layout, batch, breakage, and product coverage before purchase or installation.
Privacy, explained plainly
Projects and settings are stored on your device. iCloud sync starts on and can use Apple CloudKit when available; you can turn it off in Settings. The optional LiDAR room scan uses the camera. Sharing sends a copy to your chosen destination.

Frequently asked questions
- Is LiDAR required?
- No. Manual measurement is available. The optional room scan requires a compatible LiDAR device and camera access.
- Will projects appear on my other devices?
- iCloud sync starts on. You can turn off iCloud Sync in Settings; the change takes effect the next time TileCount opens. Sync also needs a compatible Apple account and network access.
- Can I export?
- Project summaries can be shared as text, PDF, or CSV. Core calculation and project actions require Pro.
