Frequently asked questions
- Does VocalShift work offline?
- Voice processing runs on your iPhone once the required models have downloaded from the App Store. First-time downloads and purchases use Apple services.
- Are my recordings uploaded for processing?
- VocalShift does not send recordings to its own processing server. If you export or share a file, the destination you choose handles that copy.
- Is VocalShift an RVC app for iPhone?
- Yes. VocalShift's AI character voices are RVC v2 models (ContentVec content features, RMVPE pitch extraction and a retrieval index) that run entirely on your iPhone. You don't need a PC, a GPU or a server, and there is nothing to train: pick a built-in voice and convert speech or singing. Your personal voice clone uses a separate on-device model, so it only needs a short sample. Importing your own RVC model files is not supported.
- Can it change my singing voice?
- Yes. Record or import a singing clip, then convert it into an AI character voice or your own cloned voice. Your melody and timing are kept.
- Can I clone someone else's voice?
- Only with their permission. Please don't use VocalShift to impersonate or deceive anyone. See our Terms of Use.
- Is there a subscription?
- VocalShift is free to download. Paid features are available with a weekly, monthly or yearly plan, or with a one-time Lifetime purchase. Some plans may include a free trial for eligible new subscribers. Purchases are handled by Apple.
- Will my audio have a watermark?
- No. Exported audio has no watermark.
