How it works

Start in the app and stay in control of the result.

  1. Choose. Select a photo, video or file using the system picker or Files.
  2. Adjust. Choose the conversion or editing tool and its options.
  3. Save or share. Review the result and send it to your chosen destination.
Before you convert: Keep an original copy. Results depend on the source format, file integrity, and available device storage.

Frequently asked questions

Does FormatBox upload my files?
Its conversion tools process selected files on the device. A file you choose from iCloud may first be downloaded by Apple's picker; sharing a result sends it to the destination you select.
Which permissions are used?
Camera access is used for document scanning. Photo access can be used when selecting or saving media. Files are selected through the system picker.
Is every feature free?
The app has paid options, including subscriptions and a one-time purchase. Check the in-app purchase screen for current availability, terms and local prices.
Will every file convert perfectly?
No. Some formats, protected files, large inputs, or low device storage can prevent a conversion. Check the output before deleting an original.
