Taxlite Research

Independent research on welfare access in Australia and New Zealand

Machine-readable, methodology-first research on the gap between concession eligibility and concessions actually received. All inputs, computation, and source citations are published openly under CC BY 4.0.

About this research

Taxlite Research is an independent research project by Alex Jiang, the developer behind Taxlite — a service that helps Australian and New Zealand households check which benefits and concessions they may be eligible for. Reports focus on the measurable gap between scheme eligibility and actual take-up.

Every report ships with the full input data, the computation script, a methodology document, and a per-line audit trail to its primary government source. All reports are released under CC BY 4.0, so journalists, researchers, and policy teams are free to reuse, recompute, or extend any figure.
