We do not sell your personal data. Text you translate is processed to deliver results and is not stored on our servers beyond the duration of your request.
SimpleTranslate Pro ("we", "us", or "our") operates the SimpleTranslate Pro mobile application and associated services
(collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information about you
when you use the Service.
By using the Service you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
2. Data We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Account details (email address) when you register or sign in
- Text you submit for translation (processed in real time; not persistently stored)
- Payment information processed via our payment provider (we do not store raw card numbers)
Information collected automatically
- Device identifiers (advertising ID, device model, OS version)
- Usage data (languages used, features accessed, session duration)
- Crash reports and performance diagnostics
- IP address and approximate location (country/region level only)
Information we do NOT collect
- Precise GPS location
- Contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data unless explicitly prompted and consented to
- Translation history stored on our servers beyond your active session (offline history stays only on your device)
3. How We Use Your Data
- Provide, operate, and improve the translation service
- Remember your language preferences and settings
- Process payments and manage subscriptions
- Send transactional messages (receipts, OTP codes, critical service updates)
- Diagnose bugs and monitor service performance
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your translation content for advertising or sell it to third parties.
If we send optional marketing messages, you will be able to unsubscribe at any time.
4. Third-Party Services
We rely on the following categories of third-party providers. Each operates under its own privacy policy.
- Translation engine — your text is transmitted to our translation API provider to generate results; it is not retained after the response is returned
- Authentication — Apple Sign In, Google Sign In (sign-in only; no translation content is shared)
- Payments — Apple App Store, Google Play (in-app purchases)
- Email delivery — Amazon SES (transactional email only)
- Analytics & crash reporting — Firebase (anonymised/aggregated usage metrics)
- Cloud hosting — Amazon Web Services (Sydney region, ap-southeast-2)
We do not embed social-media tracking pixels or advertising SDKs.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your account data is stored on servers located in Sydney, Australia (AWS ap-southeast-2).
We use industry-standard measures including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest,
and access controls restricted to authorised personnel.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data,
we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
- Active account data is retained while your account exists.
- After account deletion, personal data is purged within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.
- Translation text sent to the server is discarded immediately after the response is returned — it is not logged or stored.
- Anonymised, aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
- Payment transaction records are kept for 7 years for tax and accounting compliance.
You can request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us at the address below.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — request that inaccurate data be corrected
- Deletion — request erasure of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdrawal of consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time
If you are in Australia, your privacy rights are protected under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)
and the Australian Privacy Principles. If you are in New Zealand, they are protected under the
Privacy Act 2020.

8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your
jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently
collected such data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via in-app notice or email
at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after
the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
