Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Benefit Check AU application ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Benefit Check AU is a mobile application designed to help Australian residents identify welfare benefits and government assistance programmes they may be eligible for, including federal (Centrelink / Services Australia) and state/territory concessions.

The information provided is for general guidance only and does not constitute financial, legal, or government advice.

Eligibility
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use this Service.
  • You must provide accurate and truthful information when creating an account.
  • One account per person. You may not share your account with others.

User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify us immediately at support@taxlite.net if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

Subscriptions & Payments
  • Certain features require a paid subscription.
  • Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and subject to Apple's terms.
  • All fees are in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless otherwise stated.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period.
  • Refunds are handled per Apple App Store policy and applicable Australian Consumer Law.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the application.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access or extract data.
  • Submit false or misleading information.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that benefit eligibility information is complete, accurate, or up to date. Always verify eligibility directly with the relevant Australian government agency (e.g. Services Australia, Centrelink, ATO, or your state/territory concession authority).

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law (including the Australian Consumer Law), Benefit Check AU shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the preceding 12 months.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and materials within the Service are owned by or licensed to Benefit Check AU. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
